This seminar presents you with a wonderful opportunity to get involved in your College’s development. Your involvement could range from a few words at the seminar, to joining an Employer Forum which will drive curriculum development, to seizing the opportunity to influence our rebuild. You may want us to visit your business to develop a training and development plan, to highlight how Government funding can work for you (free training) or to put you in touch with providers who can deliver if we can’t.
Post sixteen education and training is changing. For example, Barnsley College has just built a new state of the art Science and Technology block, have just started building brand new high specification Sports and Motor Vehicle Centres and are now launching a £60,000,000 rebuild of its main town centre site.
Last year, the College had its best ever Inspection. Students won more skills competitions than ever before and learner achievements continue to get better and better. Almost 500 young people aged 14 – 16, 4,000 young people aged 16 – 18 and thousands of adults learn with the College. Full-time courses, Apprenticeships, Train to Gain and a raft of other programmes are offered. However we know we can do more.
