Purpose of the event
This event is the first of its size and stature in Barnsley.
Taking place at the Barnsley Metrodome on 19th March 2008, BarnsleyWorks
will encompass the needs of businesses today. It will provide
business leaders with an arena in which to discover survival
and growth strategies, learn new skills, source information,
discover the latest products and services and, ultimately, grow
their business.
If you are aware of your biggest challenge, if you are committed
to overcoming it, and if you would like some help in achieving
this, then BarnsleyWorks is the business-to-business event for
you. Nationally, only 51% of businesses survive beyond three
years. In fact, only 17% of businesses are still trading beyond
ten years*. BarnsleyWorks was created to improve on these figures
locally.
Delegates should attend for one reason – to
improve their bottom line.
750 delegates will be attending on the day to visit both the
Exhibition Hall packed with 75
stands and the 4 conference rooms holding 24
seminars.
Attendance at BarnsleyWorks is paramount for anyone running
or starting a business in Barnsley.

“BarnsleyWorks will be an excellent and exciting opportunity for new and existing businesses to come together and access a wealth of information on how they can improve their company performance.
“The Expo will take the form of an exhibition of the very latest products and services, seminars on cutting edge business strategies as well as providing the region’s business community with an ideal setting for meeting others and strengthening business relationships.
“This is a major event for Barnsley and the level of enthusiasm and support which has already been displayed is an indication of the dynamism of the local economy.” Eric Illsley, Labour MP for Barnsley Central
